__Texes Sheet Cake__



Ingredients


- 1/2 cup water (120ml)

- 1/2 cup butter (113g)

- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (15g)

- 1 large egg

- 1/4 cup sour cream or yogurt (60g)

- 1 cup sugar (200g)

- 1 cup flour (120g)

- 1/2 tsp baking soda (3g)

- 1/2 tsp salt (3g)

- 1 tsp vanilla extract (4g)

- 1/2 cup pecans (50g)

Note: pecans are optional but recommend.



Ganache


- 1/4 cup milk (60ml)

- 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp butter (72g)

- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (15g)

- 2 cups powdered sugar (240g)




Recipe


1. Pour water, butter and cocoa powder in a pan. Cook on medium heat until combined. Remove the pan from heat and keep it aside.

2. Put egg in another bowl with sour cream. Mix until combined and keep it aside.

3. Pour sugar, flour, salt and baking soda in a large bowl. Stir everything together.

4. Pour the egg mixture into the flour and mix until you get a thick batter. Then pour the butter and cocoa mixture into the batter with vanilla extract and mix until combined.

5. Grease your baking dish well. Dust some cocoa powder. I’m using 9”x13” baking sheet.

6. Pour the cake batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly with a rubber spatula.

7. Bake @350°f for 12-15 minutes.

8. Chop pecans if you’re using.

9. Pour the ganache ingredients into a pan and cook on medium heat until combined. Remove the pan from heat and mix icing sugar until combined. Mix chopped pecans and stir.

10. Pour the hot ganache on the cake and spread evenly.

11. Let it set before cutting.

12. Cut the sheet cake into squares with a sharp knife.

Enjoy the delicious sheet cake in minutes.
