Baked Donuts In Two Flavours With Glaze


Fluffy, soft and moist, these Baked Donuts are so easy to make from scratch. Taste great with chocolate glaze And sugar glaze!

This simple baked donut recipe comes together quickly and easily without frying the dough in oil.



__Ingredients For Plain Donuts__


- 2 tbsp softened butter

- 2 tbsp cooking oil

- 1 egg

- 1/2 cup sugar

- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 1/4 cup all purpose flour

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1/2 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg


__Ingredients For Chocolate Donuts__


- 2 tbsp softened butter

- 2 tbsp cooking oil

- 1 egg

- 1/2 cup sugar

- 1/2 cup buttermilk

- 1 tsp vanilla

- 1 cup all purpose flour

- 1/4 cup cocoa powder

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1/2 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 tsp baking soda


__Ingredients For Chocolate Glaze__


- 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate

- 3 tbsp heavy cream

- 2 tbsp butter


__Ingredients For Sugar Glaze__


- 1/2 cup icing sugar

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 tbsp heavy cream

- 3 tbsp white chocolate + 1 tsp butter


__Recipe For Plain Donuts__


1. In a bowl put softened butter, oil, sugar, egg, buttermilk and vanilla.

2. Mix until well blended.

3. Add flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda, ground cinnamon and ground nutmeg.

4. Mix until well combined.

5. Using a disposable piping bag, pipe the batter into greased donut pan. Fill each cavity about 2/3.

6. Bake at 350°F for about 9-11 minutes.

7. Let them cool down a little bit before applying the glaze.


__Recipe For Chocolate Donuts__


1. Mix butter with oil sugar, egg, vanilla extract and buttermilk.

2. Add flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mix until well combined.

3. Fill in the greased donut pan and bake @350°F for about 9-11 minutes.

4. Dip each donut into the glaze and decorate it with nuts and chocolate.

__Chocolate Glaze__


Take 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate. Put 3 tbsp of heavy cream in it with 2 tbsp butter. Microwave for 30 seconds and mix until you get a smooth glaze.


__Sugar Glaze__


Take 1/2 cup icing sugar with 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp heavy cream.

Melt 3 tbsp white chocolate with 1 tsp butter and add it into the sugar mixture. Mix everything until you get a smooth glaze.
