These viral cookie dough stuffed cinnamon rolls bring cinnamon rolls to the next level. A classic cinnamon roll is already amazing, but cookie dough somehow makes these even better than regular cinnamon rolls. Top it with delicious edible cookie dough balls, chopped pecans and chocolate.
Ingredients For Rolls
1 cup warm milk (240g)
2 1/4 tsp yeast (7g)
3 tbsp sugar (35g)
1 large egg
3 tbsp melted butter (58g)
3 cups all purpose flour (360g)
1/2 tsp salt (3g)
Cookie Dough
1/2 cup melted butter (113g)
1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
1/2 cup brown sugar (100g)
1 large egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour (180g)
1/2 tsp salt (3g)
1/2 tsp baking soda (3g)
1 cup mini chocolate chips (170g)
1 tbsp cinnamon + 2 tbsp sugar
Topping
1 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for edible cookie dough
1/2 cup melted chocolate
Pecans and chocolate chips
Recipe
pour 1 cup warm milk in a bowl. Add sugar and yeast. Stir and cover for about 10 minutes.
Remove the wrap and stir again. Add egg and melted butter. Mix until combined.
Pour flour in a large bowl. Add salt and yeast mixture. Mix everything until well combined . Dust some flour on your work surface and knead the dough for about 7-8 minutes. Cover for 2 hours or until it doubles.
In the meantime let’s make the Cookie Dough, Mix butter and sugars together until well combined. Add 1 egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended. Pour flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix until well incorporated. Add mini chocolate chips and mix until combined. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
Remove the wrap from the cinnamon rolls dough and transfer the dough to a clean, floured surface. Roll it into a rectangle about a quarter of an inch thick.
Spread cinnamon sugar mixture. Spread cookie dough mixture evenly. Cut the edges and cut the dough into 6 long strips . Roll the strips all the way.
Grease your baking dish and line it with parchment paper. Arrange your cinnamon rolls. Bruch water on the edges to seal.
Cover for about 30 minutes.
Remove the cover and bake at 375°f for about 20 minutes.
Apply melted butter on warm rolls.
Edible Cookie Dough: bake flour @350° for 8 minutes. Add melted butter, sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined. Make small dough balls.
Melt chocolate and spread at the top of the rolls. Top it with cookie dough balls and sprinkle roasted chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
