Chocolate Mud Cake

__Ingredients__


- 1 cup melted butter (226g)

- 1/2 cup hot water (120ml)

- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (50g)

- 1 & 1/4 cup sugar (250g)

- 2 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 eggs

- 1 & 3/4 cups flour (220g)

- 1/2 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 1 & 1/2 cup chocolate chips (226g)

- 1/2 cup whipping cream (120ml)

- dark chocolate for garnishing


__Recipe__


  1. Pour 1 cup melted butter in a large bowl. Add 1/2 cup hot water and 1/2 cup cocoa powder. Mix until well blended.

  2. Add sugar and mix until well dissolved.

  3. Add vanilla extract and eggs. Mix for about 2 minutes.

  4. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until well incorporated. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.

  5. Pour batter in the baking pan aligned with parchment paper.

  6. Bake @325°f for 45 minutes.

  7. Let it set inside the pan for 10 minutes after baking.

  8. Remove the cake from the pan and cool down completely on a wire rack.

  9. Take 1 & 1/2 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips in a bowl. Pour whipping cream on the chocolate and microwave for 40-50 seconds. Mix until smooth.

  10. Slightly cut the top layer of the cake to make it even. Pour chocolate ganache at the top and spread all over the cake with a spatula.

  11. Garnish with chopped chocolate and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes before cutting.

  12. Enjoy the moist chocolate cake!
