__Ingredients For Cake__
- 210g all purpose flour (1 & 3/4 cups)
- 55g cocoa powder (2/3 cup)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 medium sized eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cold milk + 2 tsp vinegar
- 350g sugar (1 & 3/4 cup)
- 120ml oil (1/2 cup)
- 1 cup hot coffee or water
__Ingredients For Ganache__
- 1/3 cup hot melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup hot milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips + 1 tbsp oil
- sprinkles for topping
Recipe
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Buttermilk: In one cup cold milk, pour 2 tsp vinegar mix and set aside.
Mix oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended.
Add buttermilk and mix well.
Add 1 cup hot coffee or water and stir well. The batter will be very runny but sets when baked.
Pour the batter into a 9x13” cake pan, greased and lined with parchment paper.
Bake @350°F for 25-30 minutes.
Let it set in the baking pan for 15-20 minutes.
Flip the cake onto a wire rack and let it cool down completely.
In the meantime, pour hot melted butter in a bowl. Add sugar, hot milk, vanilla extract and cocoa powder. Stir well until smooth.
Take 1 cup chocolate, pour 1 tbsp oil on it and microwave for 30 seconds. Mix well and microwave again for 20 seconds. Mix until smooth. Pour melted chocolate into the ganache mixture. Let it cool down.
Trim the cake edges and turn them into crumbs.
Pour the ganache all over the cake. Cover the sides with a rubber spatula.
Cover the cake sides with the crumbs.
Decorate with sprinkles and let it set in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
