Domino’s Hand Tossed & Handmade Pan Pizzas | Copycat Recipe With Pizza Dough and Sauce


__Ingredients__


__Dough__


- 1 & 1/2 cup warm water

- 2 & 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

- 1 tsp sugar

- 3 & 3/4 cups bread flour

- 2 tsp salt

- 4-5 tbsp olive oil

- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

- 1 pack of pepperoni

- flour and semolina for dusting


__Sauce__


- 2 tbsp butter

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 2 cloves garlic

- 2 tsp red chilli flakes (optional)

- 2 cups crushed tomatoes

- 2 tsp salt or as you desire

- 1 tsp dried oregano

- 1 tsp sugar


__Recipe For Sauce __


1. Melt 2 tbsp butter with 2 tbsp olive oil. Add crushed garlic.

2. When it turns into light golden add chilli flakes. Then add 2 cups of crushed tomatoes.

3. Add salt, sugar and oregano and cook for 10 minutes at low to medium heat.


__Recipe For Dough__


1. Put yeast in warm water with sugar and wrap it for 10 minutes.

Remove the wrap and stir it.

2. Put flour in a deep bowl. Add salt and pour the yeast mixture into it. Mix until well combined.

3. Dust some flour on your work surface. Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Roll the dough into a ball.

4. Grease a deep bowl with 1 tbsp olive oil and roll the dough in it. Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours at room temperature. I prefer overnight method for better texture.

5. Remove the wrap and punch the dough. Dust some flour on your work surface. Roll the dough in the flour and divide it into three parts. Roll each part into a ball. Spread semolina in a pan and put the dough on it. Cover and leave the dough at room temperature until doubled. Recipe makes three 12” pizzas.

6. For Handmade Pan Pizza, pour 3-4 tbsp of olive oil in your baking pan. I’m using 12” cast iron pan. Sprinkle some semolina and spread the dough with your fingers. Spread the pizza sauce all over it. Top it with mozzarella cheese. Spread sliced pepperoni and bake @525°F for 15-20 minutes.

7. For Hand Tossed Pizza, spread the dough on your work place with fingers. Lift the dough up on the back of your hands. Use knuckles to stretch the dough gently. Put the dough on pizza pan and spread sauce all over it. Top it with mozzarella and pepperoni. Bake @525°F for 15 minutes.
