Salted Caramel Chocolate Chunk Pretzels Cookies

These delightful treats combine rich chocolate chunks and gooey salted caramel with the crunch of pretzels for a truly irresistible flavor experience. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth and your love for savory snacks all in one delicious cookie!


Ingredients


  • 18-20 caramels

  • ⁠100g dark chocolate

  • ⁠1/2 cup pretzels

  • ⁠113g cold butter (1/2 cup)

  • ⁠100g brown sugar (1/2 cup)

  • ⁠50g granulated sugar (1/4 cup)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ⁠225g cake flour (2 cups) OR 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour + 1/4 cup cornstarch

  • 3g salt (1/2 tsp)

  • 3g baking powder (1/2 tsp)

  • 3g baking soda (1/2 tsp)

  • sea salt

  • Chocolate, caramels and pretzels for topping




Ingredients


  1. Chop caramels, chocolate into small chunks. Break pretzels into small pieces.

  2. Beat butter for about 2 minutes.

  3. Add sugars, egg and vanilla extract into the batter and beat until well combined.

  4. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat until well incorporated. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.

  5. Add chopped chocolate, caramels and pretzels and mix well.

  6. Divide the dough into 6 large balls. Roll the dough into balls and press a little bit with your hands. (You can make 12 regular sized cookies if you don’t want large cookies).

  7. Top each ball with chopped chocolate, caramels and pretzels.

  8. Bake @375°F for about 14 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown. (If you are making 12 cookies with this recipe, bake them @350°F for 9-11 minutes).

  9. Let them sit in the baking dish for about 15-20 minutes and sprinkle sea salt at the top.

  10. Cool down completely on a wire rack.
