Turkish Adana Kebab



__ Ingredients __

- 1 kg ground beef

- 1 red bell pepper

- 2 onions

- 1 green chilli

- 1 green pepper

- 1 cup parsley

- 1 tbsp salt

- 1 tsp chilli powder

- 1 tsp paprika

- 2 tsp cumin seeds powder

- 1 tsp sumac

- 2 tbsp cornflour (optional)

- 1 tbsp garlic paste

- 1 tsp chilli flakes

- 2 tbsp butter (if you have meat with fat then you don’t need butter).


__ Garlic Yogurt Dip__


- 1 cup yogurt

- 1 tsp garlic

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 2 tbsp mayonnaise

- 1 tbsp lemon juice

- 1 tbsp hot sauce


__ Onion Salad__

- 1 onion

- 1/4 cup parsley

- 1 tsp sumac

- 1/4 tsp salt


__ Recipe __

1. Add 1 kg ground beef in a big bowl.

2. Chop your vegetables and squeeze out excess water.

3. Add vegetables in the beef.

4. Add spices and mix well.

5. Dip your hand in cold water, take a handful of meat and shape the kebab on skewers. If you don’t have big skewers, you can use small wooden skewers as well. Take 3 skewers and wrap aluminum foil all around it. Homemade skewers are ready. Works fine.

6. Broil in oven at 500°F for about 10 minutes. Flip the sides of kebab after 5 minutes. If you don’t have oven cook in the pan with 1-2 tbsp of oil.

7. Mix yogurt sauce ingredients for the dip.

8. Slice onion thinly, chop parsley, add salt and sumac. Serve with rice or pita bread.
