Vanilla Sponge Cake

__ Ingredients __

- 4 egg yolks

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar

- 1/4 cup cooking oil

- 1/4 cup milk

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 3/4 cup all purpose flour

- 1/2 tsp baking powder

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 4 egg whites

- 1/2 cup confectioner sugar

- 1/2 tsp vinegar

__ Frosting __

- 1 cup heavy cream

- 1/2 cup icing sugar

- 1 tsp vanilla extract


__ Recipe __

1. In a bowl add egg yolks and granulated sugar. Whisk until gets creamy.

2. Add cooking oil, milk and vanilla. Mix everything.

3. Add flour, baking powder and salt.

Mix until well combined.

4. In another bowl add egg whites, confectioner sugar and vinegar. Mix until gets foamy.

5. Add egg whites mixture in cake mixture in batches.

6. Grease your baking pan add parchment paper.

7. Pour your mixture into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes at 325°. If you want to make small layer cakes, bake it in a sheet pan.

8. Beat heavy cream with sugar and vanilla.

9. Apply frosting on cake. If you want to make double layer, cut your cake from the middle and flip half of it onto the other half.

10. Keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Then cut your desired shapes.

11. Apply frosting at the top and garnish with fruits or your favourite toppings.
